Family buys billboard for son's birthday
Everybody wants to be a celebrity these days, and one family bought their son his fifteen minutes of fame for his birthday this year.
The family bought 16 billboards along a 400-meter stretch of road in Jinjiang, Fujian province, reading "Welcome to my 16th birthday party" with their son's portrait plastered on it, reported news.qzwb.com on Wednesday. Dozens of LED arches nearby displayed the same message.
According to the family, the 16-year-old boy is dearly beloved by the whole family. They used the billboards to advertise for the family business before and only changed them several days for the boy's birthday, costing them just 1,600 yuan ($258).
