An artist uses his tongue to paint, a wooden Lamborghini steals hearts in Fujian, and an innovative photo collage sparks debate about China's social ills.
Innovative photo collage raises debate
A photographer has combined photos of more than 40 set scenes featuring hot social issues into a parody of the renowned Chinese masterpiece 'Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival', nandu.com reported on Monday.
The 25-meter-long photo collage features hot-button issues in China, for example, "My dad is Li Gang" – a man who caused a car accident thinking he can get away with the consequences because his father is a high-ranking official; "Looking for sugar daddy" – a girl displaying her vital statistics on a sign saying she wants to be a kept woman; "Villa for sale. 880,000 yuan ($143,688) per square meter" – poking fun at skyrocketing real estate prices, etc.
Viewers disagree about the artwork. Some people think it is innovative, reflecting social problems in a mocking way, while some say it can't be regarded as serious art.
