CHENGDU -- Eight people were killed on Saturday after a two-vehicle collision in Southwest China's Sichuan province, traffic police said.
The accident happened around 7:30 am after a small bus carrying eight passengers collided head on with a large truck on a road in Songpan County.
The bus driver surnamed Jiang and two passengers were killed at the scene, and another five people died later in the hospital, said a police officer.
A preliminary investigation showed that Jiang was in the wrong lane, causing the accident. Further investigation is under way.
