The Chinese Ministry of Education and the German Education Ministry joined forces to establish a training organization, the German Education Center (GEC), which was officially launched in Beijing on Friday.
Chinese Center for Hannover (Chinesisches Zentrum, Hannover e.V.), the biggest shareholder in the project, was set up by the Chinese ministry and Niedersachsen, a German state, in 1997. It has been recognized by China's State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs as one of the most authoritative German training organizations.
GEC offers continuing education and training, believed to be one of the strengths of Germany, to policy and decision makers, managers and technicians of multinational enterprises and companies in China.
The program covers a range of fields including machinery, automotive engineering and medical care.
