A former senior Flying Tigers pilot is critically ill in a hospital, Sept 23, 2014.[Photo/IC] Long Qiming, 91, was hospitalized in July with a serious lung infection, according to doctors at No 1 Hospital affiliated with Chongqing University of Medical Science. Long said he wants to recover to take part in events in Beijing in 2015 marking the 70th anniversary of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression (1937-45). He is the only Flying Tigers pilot still alive on the Chinese mainland. |
