A man in Dongxing, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, was sentenced to death on Thursday for killing two family planning officials, people.com reported on Thursday.
He Shenguo broke into the local family planning commission office on July 23 and stabbed two officials to death, injuring three others as well as a lawyer. He was upset because the officials declined to provide hukou, or household registration, to his fourth child.
He was also sentenced to pay 280,000 yuan ($44,963) in compensation to the victims' families.
