Sister Furong for fairy role

Sister Furong, who became infamous in 2005 due to her showcase of "S-shape" body and bold words, unexpectedly gained popular support after she recommended herself to play the role of a fairy-style girl in a kung fu fiction, which is one of the most beloved female characters by kung fu fiction fans. Furong's move came after wide online dissatisfaction over actress Michelle Chen from Taiwan, who was selected to play the role. The role of "xiaolongnv", or little dragon girl, is a main character in a piece of fiction written by Hong Kong kung fu master novelist Louis Cha.

Skinny man

A man was mistakenly treated as a drug user by police because he was so thin, on Aug 24, and was handcuffed at a police station in Xi'an city, Northwest China's Shaanxi province. The local police apologized after they realized they had the wrong man.
