BEIJING - A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman on Monday said China would like to work with other countries to curb cyber attacks.
"The Chinese government resolutely opposes and has cracked down on hacking in accordance with the law and would like to work with the international community to safeguard network security," spokeswoman Hua Chunying said at a daily press briefing.
Her comments came in response to a question regarding recent media reports stating that the computers of Australia's central bank had been hacked by attackers.
Hua said China's stance on fighting cyber crime has been clear and consistent.
