The boy band was in Beijing to announce the start of its 20th anniversary world tour in China this May.
The multi-platinum group, best known for hits such as I Want It That Way, Backstreet’s Back and Quit Playing Games With My Heart, will tour Chinese cities, including Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing and Xi'an.
The five members - Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson - put on traditional Chinese red clothing to greet their Chinese fans on the coming Chinese Spring Festival next month.
They will be finishing up a new album, the first since 2005, which will be released in April.
