Four police officers spent more than a month reviewing about 40,000 allegedly pornographic VCDs and DVDs for illegal content after they raided the biggest wholesaler of porn videos in four provinces of East China last year, China National Radio reported on Jan 22.
The 40,000 discs were seized by police in Xuzhou of Jiangsu province and Guangzhou of Guangdong province, who jointly raided 19 stores and took away 25 suspects who police said were involved in making and selling the pornographic discs in the first seven months of last year.
Police said Shi Nana, a main suspect in the case, is a big wholesaler of pornographic VCDs and DVDs in the provinces of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan and Anhui.
Police said she had sold as many as 1 million pornographic discs over the years, which she had brought from Guangzhou, in Guangdong province, the report said.
