Four nursing homes in Tianjin have been selected for a pilot program in which nursing care will be provided for seniors in their own homes, the Urban Express reported.
Tianjin is experimenting with the concept of a "virtual nursing home", which means that seniors can enjoy nursing services at home rather than in nursing centers.
The four appointed nursing homes will also extend services to the communities in which senior citizens live. Canteens will be open to all residents, not just seniors.
Meal deliveries will be available for immobile seniors. Entertainment facilities and special bathing rooms are also on offer. Medical care, psychological consultations and accompanying services will follow.
