Seven short couples get married in a group wedding ceremony in Beijing, Dec 1, 2012. The little people are players from a shadow puppet troupe in Beijing. The tallest is 1.38 meters and the shortest is 1.24 meters. They retain the sound and appearance of children but they are adults. The couples, age 21-27, come from different places throughout China. After enduring discrimination in their hometowns, they’ve come to join the troupe of 45 dwarfs, where they feel at home with people their own size. [Photo by Lin Hui/Asianewsphoto] |
