China's legislature adopts new Environmental Protection Law

BEIJING -- The Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislature, on Thursday voted to adopt revisions to the Environmental Protection Law.
The revised law will go into effect from Jan 1, 2015.
