China stocks close up - July 13

BEIJING - Chinese shares staged a rally Wednesday after the nation's statistics bureau announced earlier in the day that the economic growth has slowed to 9.5 percent in the second quarter from 9.7 percent in the first quarter.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.48 percent to finish at 2,795.48 after plunging 1.72 percent the previous trading day.
The Shenzhen Component Index also rallied by 1.72 percent to close at 12,479.15.
