China stocks close down -- July 7

BEIJING--Chinese shares closed down on Thursday after the central bank hiked one-year interest rates by 25 basis points.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index went down 0.58 percent, or 16.21 points, to 2,794.27.
The Shenzhen Component Index dipped 0.26 percent, or 32.75 points, to 12,392.93.
