China to float 30 b yuan  T-bonds

BEIJING--The Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Wednesday that it will sell 30 billion yuan ($4.64 billion) worth of book-entry treasury bonds this week.

The 30-year bonds have a fixed annual interest rate of 3.7 percent, the ministry said in a statement on its website.

The bonds will be sold from Thursday to next Monday and become tradable on exchange markets starting July 13, the statement said.

Interest on the bonds will be paid annually while the principal will be returned upon maturity on July 7, 2018, it added.

According to the statement, the bonds will be the ministry's 17th issue of book-entry treasury bonds this year.
