"Energy cooperation between China and Russia is mutually beneficial, " said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu at a regular news briefing.

Referring to the price wrangles as "technical problems in bilateral energy negotiation," Jiang said the two governments have instructed companies on both sides to resolve the issue through mutually respectful consultations.

Jiang also said the seventh round of the Sino-Russian energy negotiators' meeting is still under consultation and preparation by the two sides.
