BAIC's new energy vehicle heads to mass production in July

BAIC will begin mass production for China's new energy vehicles in July, according to an official with BAIC Group Friday during the 14th China Beijing International High-tech Expo.

The C30 can be charged by the system under the State Grid, and every full charge consumes 17kwh of electricity and allows a driving distance of 100km, with a maximum speed of 130km per hour.
BAIC will produce 3,500 pure electric vehicles in 2011 for both private and public transportation.
