Chinese corporate bond sales have busiest start

Chinese companies raised over three times more from bonds than from equities this year, Bloomberg reported Monday.

Corporate bond sales totaled 100 billion yuan ($15.2 billion) since Jan 1, up 60 percent from a year earlier and the most since Bloomberg started tracking the data in 1999.

A-share sales in 2011 have totaled 28.8 billion yuan, down from 34 billion yuan a year earlier, according to Bloomberg data.
