The soon-to-be ready Chinese style Panda Garden, has been built on the site of the previous one, but much bigger, about 5,500 square meters.
According to these Chinese panda keepers, the garden has a small water fall, and some tree-like structures for the pandas to clime up and down to amuse themselves and to entertain visitors.
Though it would still take a few days for the pandas to stage their official appearance, their arrival has already stirred a widespread fever.
Outside the red-painted fences of the panda garden, many parents taking their kids or teachers bringing their students would pause for a photo even though the place is not 100 percent ready.
Thomas, who lives in Berlin and works in the computer science sector and did not reveal his full name, told Xinhua that he is looking forward to taking his two kids back for the pandas after the opening.
For Ochs, the new pandas are now "more active and there are more characters than the old one," adding that "everybody here love them."
According to him, the Berlin zoo attracts about 3.5 million tourists from his country and the rest of the world every year, and with Meng Meng and Jiao Qing, the number would definitely grow.
