An exhibition featuring 120 pieces of cultural relics from the Palace Museum was held in Santiago, Chile, on September 2.
The showpieces included paintings, porcelain, jade and bronze wares and embroidery, which fully present the great richness of China during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
Lou Wei, deputy-director of the Place Museum, Li Baorong, Chinese ambassador to Chile, Cai Wu, director-general of China's National Arts Fund, Ernesto Ottone, Chile cultural minister and around 400 representatives attended the opening ceremony.
As an important project in the "2016 China-Latin America Cultural Year", the event debuted the Place Museum's relics in Latin America after three years of preparation. A series of traditional Chinese music performances were also featured at the ceremony.
There will be a Chinese film week, cultural lectures and children's games during the exhibition, which will end on November 27.
