China Post is to release a special set of stamps to celebrate World Reading Day, which falls on Saturday. The commemorative stamp, with a face value of 1.2 yuan ($0.19), is made with special technology and printed in four-character Braille with symbols meaning "nationwide reading". It is the second set of touchable Braille stamps in China.
On the left side of the book cover depicted on the stamp are words from the Chinese classic, Three-Character Classic. The words surround a stairway portrayed on the stamp.
The stamp is printed with fluorescence ink, so it can be seen at night under ultraviolet light. The large version of the stamp has a QR code for the National Digital Library of China. You can enjoy the convenience of digital reading by scanning the code.
