Luxury villa with classical Chinese garden sells for $78 million
A luxury villa, which was built based on the design of a renowned Chinese garden in East China's Suzhou city in Jiangsu province, is being sold at the astronomical price of 500 million yuan ($78.5 million).
The villa's exterior is built in the traditional Chinese architectural style, while the interior is decorated in a Western style.
It is also situated in a prime location - it is 500 meters away from three World Cultural Heritage sites, namely the Humble Administrator's Garden, the Lion Grove Garden and the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
The property developers say only selected customers, whom they call "super buyers", are allowed to visit the sample villas. A total of 28 such high-end villas have been built in a prime location in Suzhou.
