Men surrender to labor pain
How long can a man endure labor pains?
A competition to endure the pain of giving birth was held for men in Nanchang, East China's Jiangxi province, on May 10, Mother's Day. Some 20 men, including fathers and professionals who prided themselves on being "iron men", such as firefighters and boxers, participated, chinanews.com reported. The men were hooked up to a machine that simulated the pain of giving birth through electric shocks.
The winner was a firefighter who endured 80 seconds of "labor pains", compared to actual labor which usually lasts hours or even days.
The organizer said the competition was to remind people of a mother's sacrifice.
