Should selfie sticks be banned?

If someone really wants to take a selfie in a museum, they don't have to use a selfie stick. Folks managed to take selfies for several years without them and did just fine. Some museums don't allow cameras at all, or at least prohibit them from being used near certain exhibits. Just be glad that it's only the sticks that are being banned here. I think the policy is perfectly reasonable.
