Call for traditional Chinese in schools
Feng Xiaogang, film director and also a CPPCC member, said that primary school and middle school's course textbook should start re-using some of the traditional Chinese characters.
His statement caught people's attention and sparked a debate.
Chinese mainland has used the simplified Chinese for almost six decades although some voices are raised now and then saying that traditional Chinese should be brought back as expresses the meaning of the character clearly and shows Chinese culture better.
