Chen Sisi, a young female Chinese singer, said at the opening day of the Chinese People's Consultative Conference: "The literary and art circle needs to be cleaned up. People in the entertainment industry should have more self-esteem and self-respect, and they should maintain moral standards and bring a more positive influence to society".
Chen also suggested extending the Spring Festival holiday as most migrant workers spend more than half of their time off on the road.
