Birdman
w ins big at the Oscars
The 87th Academy Awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles on Feb 22. The film Birdman by Mexican director Alejandro Inarritu was the big winner of the night, pocketing prizes for best director and best film, best cinematography and best original screenplay.
Inarritu's film, Gravity, was also the big winner at last year's Academy Awards, taking home 7 awards, including that for best director.
British actor Eddie Redmayne took home the prize for best actor for his role as Stephen Hawkins in The Theory of Everything, and Julianne Moore of Still Alice won best actress.
