Euthanasia sought for daughter with eye cancer
A couple from Xunyi country of Shaanxi province is seeking euthanasia for their daughter, who suffers from eye cancer, reported Legal Evening News on Thursday.
The four-year-old girl was diagnosed with eye cancer two years ago. After taking their daughter to many hospitals including Tongren hospital, the leading ophthalmic hospital in China, the girl's disease was deemed incurable.
Although the girl had her left eyeball removed in an operation last year, the cancer cells kept spreading, and a huge tumor grew out of her left cheek.
"Nothing can save my daughter now. We cannot suffer watching her dying in pain, so we are seeking a hospital to admit her and let her leave this world in peace," said the girl's father.
