CPPCC member helps woman get back nationality
Beijing's CPPCC member Shi Xiangyang helped a woman regain her Chinese nationality after she broke up with her foreign husband, Beijing Youth Daily reported on Sunday.
60-year-old Li married a foreigner and got a foreign nationality but discovered that her husband already had a wife. She came back to China but became an illegal resident as her visa had expired. Shi helped Li to apply on the people's livelihood service platform run by Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau and got back her Chinese nationality within days.
