Hundreds of photos displaying charming scenery from 16 tourist attractions in provinces in Northeast China opened to the public at Beijing's Summer Palace and Bird Nest on May 25.
The photo show will last for six months to publicize unique tourism resources in Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces. The organizer is also hoping the event will offer opportunities for northeastern provinces to deepen cooperation with Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, says Liu Yaozhong, director of the Summer Palace's management department.
The photos on display cover well-known sites, including Jingpo Lake and Sun Island in Heilongjiang province, Changchun World Sculpture Park in Jilin province and Dalian Laohutan Ocean Park in Liaoning province. The three northeastern provinces feature distinct seasons and are known for ideal sites to avoid heat in summer and enjoy ice and snow in winter.
