Two guest chefs from Hunan province will cook zesty, hot dishes from their hometowns at the Sui Yuan Restaurant at DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing this summer. Taste of Macao

The "Temptation of Macao" Food Festival is taking place at Vasco's of Hilton Wangfujing in July. The restaurant will present authentic Macao food, which is a mixture of Chinese and Portuguese cuisines, along with exotic influences from as far away as Goa and Brazil. 010-5812-8888

Classics cocktails

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts' three branches in China, Fairmont Beijing, Fairmont Peace Hotel and Fairmont Yangcheng Lake are launching a yearlong cocktail line, 'Modern Classics'. Garden retreat

Summer abalone

Summer Palace at China World Hotel has Dalian pearl abalone and eight heads abalone lined up for the season.
