Water Splashing Festival, also known as the “Festival for Bathing Buddha” is the equivalent of New Year celebration to the Dai ethnic minority in Yunnan. Everyone ends up getting splashed with water, its a symbol of religious purity and goodwill, also bestowing good luck and prosperity. The celebration in Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace includes cultural dances and specially prepared Yunnan cuisines at Rainbow Restaurant.
