ZHENGZHOU - Xiao Tian, former deputy director of China's General Administration of Sport, stood trial on Thursday on charges of accepting bribes.

He accepted bribes worth more than 7.96 million yuan (1.19 million US dollars), according to the indictment.

Xiao pleaded guilty at the end of the trial and expressed remorse.
