JAKARTA - Indonesian martial arts athletes will undertake training sessions in China for three months prior to the conduction of 26th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) in the country's South Sumatra and Jakarta provinces in November this year, local media reported on Thursday.

Martial arts coach, Rony Syaifullah, said, in Semarang Central Java, that they would commence the training in China in June, adding that 32 athletes have been readied to take part in the training session.

He said China has been chosen to become the training ground because Indonesia wanted to learn the training method of Chinese martial art, Kungfu.

Indonesia has also sent its martial arts athletes to China in preparation of 2007 SEAG, the Antara news service reported.

He said that the athletes trained in China are expected to present gold medal in the upcoming SEAG.

Indonesia's closest rivals in the sport event are Vietnam and Malaysia.
