China's top 10 sports scandals: Elbowed diving coach slaps 'bonus-gate'

True life - My diving memories, the book written by Yu Fen, a former vice head coach of the national diving team, coach of the diving team at Tsinghua University, reveals her relationship with the divers she trained and her argument with Zhou Jihong over the splitting of prize money before the 2008 Olympic Games.

"The SAC said they gave me a bankbook in which they had deposited a 180,305-yuan bonus from the 2000 Sydney Games, but I have never seen such a bankbook, only an ATM card with about 130,000 yuan in it."

It's a tale of two coaches and their bonuses. China's Olympic diving team manager Zhou Jihong was cleared on embezzlement charges after being accused of taking the prize money that was supposed to go to other coaches. Former coach Yu Fen, a vocal critic of Zhou's management who has also churned out a dozen Olympic and world champions, questioned the decision.
