Hooliganism continues to disgrace Chinese football after referee-kicking violence. Shenyang Dongjin defender Feng Shaoshun needed surgery after he was struck in the left eye by shattering pieces of glass as his team's bus was pelted with rocks by opposing Chengdu Blades fans. The ugly side of Chinese football emerged following the 1-1 draw in the second-tier match on Aug 29, 2010. Fortunately, Feng narrowly escaped blindness after undergoing two surgeries to save his sight.
