JAKARTA - The World Cup 2010 will have a positive impact to various aspects of life as the exciting event will be watched by millions of people, said a report.

"Things that generate general excitement will surely make people feel happy, not to mention that they will spend more (to complete the excitement),"  said Mitchell.

Politically, he said, nations will be at happy moment when they watch the event in television, forgetting for a while problems they are facing.

He said that even though each people will favor different participating team to be the champions, it will not ruin the joy of watching the world-class event.

Another thing is that every nation will share solidarity to South Africa, the host country that had been through a difficult time and a lot of challenges in the past.

"Every nation will be happy for South Africa for its success of holding such a event," he said.

He also said that World Cup does not mean only game but also money, and that manufacturers will see the event as an opportunity to push more sales.

"Besides, advertisement spending will also see growth during June as World Cup sponsors are geared to air their commercials," said Mitchell.

In the meantime, he said, the World Cup will also have a social impact in which community will stay together and enjoy their evening in one place.

"They will have a good time hanging around with family in front of television screen. Indeed, for social life, the impact would be less but it will be still positive," he said.

He also said that the World Cup's impact on culture is that it will influence children and people to be more supportive in their daily life.
