Jazz stay in playoff race after win over Lakers

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Jazz kept their playoff hopes alive with a 104-99 win over the LA Lakers on Friday, cutting the deficit to 2-1 in the best of seven series.

Carlos Boozer scored 27 points and had 20 rebounds as the Jazz set up a fascinating game four on Sunday.
The defeat was the Lakers' first in this year's playoffs and came despite 34 points from Kobe Bryant.
The Jazz were 52-43 up after the second quarter and managed to hold off the Lakers' attempts at a late comeback.
