A Malaysian Goods Pavilion featuring edible bird’s nest (yanwo) was established at the Chongqing Bonded Goods Exhibition Center in Liangjiang New Area on Jan 15, Chongqing Daily reported.

Bird’s nest in Malaysia is not only 30 percent less costly than in China, but its origin is also traceable with the QR code. It is currently available in the bonded tariff Goods Exhibition Center and its three extended platforms at Nanping, Guanyinqiao and Jiefangbei.

Chongqing is expected to import five to seven tons of bird's nest from Malaysia this year and will thus become the largest bird’s nest distribution center in Southwest China.

In addition to bird’s nest, the newly opened pavilion will also sell other food items and daily necessities imported from Malaysia.
