Mutual recognition of individual credit realized in four Zhejiang cities
Individual credit will be mutually recognized in Huzhou, Jiaxing, Wenzhou and Jinhua in East China's Zhejiang province starting from September, according to local media reports.
The four cities reached the agreement in Jiaxing on Aug 3, granting citizens from either of these cities the same treatment under the individual credit system.
The move is expected to further advance ties between the four cities and is seen as a huge step forward in credit integration in the Yangtze River Delta, a region encompassing the provinces of Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui and Shanghai municipality.
In September, citizens from the four cities can enjoy discounts in areas such as tourism, hotel accommodation, catering and fitness after showing their "credit codes".
In recent years, a series of services benefiting citizens through the individual credit system, such as the loan of books and umbrellas, have been launched in cities across Zhejiang.
In May, Huzhou launched an individual credit management system, which scores each person based on a comprehensive evaluation model.
