Lingbao's edible fungi sales hit 660 million yuan

Lingbao city, Sanmenxia, Henan province has raked in a total 660 million yuan ($95.6 million) in edible fungi sales this year. At this point in 2018, the city has exported $28 million in edible fungi.
To stimulate the development of the edible fungi industry, the city has made great efforts to maintain stable progress in industrial scale and promote the efficient construction of key projects.
With more than 300 demonstration greenhouses, the city cultivated 99.82 million bags of various edible fungi in the first half of the year, representing a year-on-year growth of 9 percent. At the same time, it optimized the planting structure by raising 1000 mu (66.7 hectares) of rare mushrooms, and accelerated the pace of industrialization by exploring new cultivation patterns.
The Lingbao government also trained farmers to improve their planting skills under the guidance of mushroom experts, and the city held various promotional conferences to increase the influence of its mushroom brands and develop competitive market advantages for local mushrooms.
