Silver is synonymous with the Miao and Dong ethnic groups. The glittering metal is also the highlight of a unique multimedia drama in the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture in the southeast of the Guizhou province. Zhu Xingxin shares some colorful images of the show.

The silver-ornamented civilization of the Miao and Dong ethnic groups has been handed down since the Qin and Han dynasties, and today it is ever more vibrant. Based on the blooming of silver industry, a 3-D performance called Yinxiu (Silver Show) rolls out the history and cultures behind the shining ornaments and presents the vivid ethnic culture and landscape of the secluded part of Guizhou, where the Miao and Dong people are living. The drama combines songs, music and dance with other performing arts, such as acrobatics, shadow plays and stunts to provide an insight into their way of life.
