The 17th Qingdao International Beer Festival, with a pig called Ben Ben as its mascot, kicked off in the International Beer City and Stone Man National Tourism Resort on Aug 11, 2007. It broadcasted live events on TV for international audiences, including a 4,000-person festival parade and spectacular foreign cultural performances. The festival welcomed the largest number of celebrities ever.
