The 11th Qingdao International Beer Festival, choosing a snake called Le Le as its mascot, took place in Stone Man National Tourism Resort from August 18 to Sept 2, 2001. The grand event, focusing on beer, the new millennium and the Olympics, featured various economic, cultural, sports, technological and recreational activities.
