Qingyang Temple
Located in the southwestern suburb of Chengdu, Qingyang Temple is the No.1 temple in the west of Sichuan Province. Its history can be traced back to The Three Kingdoms Period (220–280). The legend says it is the birthplace of the founder of Taoism, Lao Tsu, and where he preached the Taoism.
Today, visitors can find a lot of important Taoist cultural relics displayed in the temple, such as the stone sculpture of Lü Dongbin, one of the eight legendary immortals, and the wooden engraving of the Dao Zang Ji Yao (the Abstract of Collected Taoist Scriptures).
