SHANGHAI - Shanghai Happy Valley announced on Thursday (Mar 24) that it has obtained Guinness record for its 200,000-pinwheel show from the Shanghai Great World Guinness Headquarters, which will open on Saturday.

"The show, to date, is the largest in China, adding colour to the country's Guinness activities," said Chen Hailong, deputy general manager of Shanghai Great World Guinness Headquarters.

Guinness is a competing activity to offer great opportunities for the people who own unique skills, extraordinary abilities and unusual objects to demonstrate them. It makes Chinese wonders and create world records, said Chen.

Shanghai Happy Valley mobilized more than 1,000 employees to make pinwheels for the show which will last until April 30, said Xu Fei from Administrate Department of Shanghai OCT Co Ltd.

Xu said Cao Zhilong, China's kite stunt flying master, will bring his students to Happy Valley to play a wind ballet performance for tourists, echoing the pinwheel event.
