Sponsored by the Institute of Industrial Economics of the State Council Development Research Center, Chengdu municipal government and China Economic Times, the Chengdu International Airport City Economy Development Summit was held in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province, from November 15 to 17.

With the theme "New airports, new cities, and new development," the summit drew more than 300 economists from different parts of the country and CEOs from the world's major airports, aviation cities, airlines and related industries to compare notes on the development of the airport economy.

Chengdu is home to China's fourth largest airport with more than 160 air routes.
