Editor's note: With the popularity of the iPad and Android tablet increasing, a growing number of schools are adopting them for daily use in the classroom. So what if all schoolchildren were given a tablet to use in class? Should we embrace the new technology? You're welcome to leave your comments.

What's wrong with a textbook? I realize that technology is advancing but there is no need for an iPad in the classroom or for it to replace textbooks. Yes, it's easier to carry it around but it's a waste. It will get the children offtrack because then they will be playing games and be on Facebook instead of paying attention to the teacher.
