River fish fiesta underway in Zhouzhuang

A food fiesta highlighting various river fish dishes are currently underway at Shuizhiyun, a restaurant in Zhouzhuang, a renowned water town in East China's Jiangsu province.

The event, started in March 20, is slated to run until April 15. Over the period, the restaurant will launch a new dish at half price every weekday, and the first 20 eaters are entitled to the discount.

Shuizhiyun, which could accommodate more than 800 eaters at the same time, is the largest hotel in Zhouzhuang. There eaters are also able to relish the food packed with Zhouzhuang characteristics in particular with the Wansan pork shank, a traditional dish named after Shen Wansan, the first millionaire from Jiangnan, the region south of the Yangtze River Delta during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
